Sheriff’s Deputy Involved in Crash after Chase in Edinburg
EDINBURG – An Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputy is doing okay after his car was involved in a crash during a chase Friday afternoon.
It happened near 281 and 490 in Edinburg. The sheriff’s office said the deputy was helping in a Border Patrol chase.
Several people were inside a truck that was fleeing from agents.
The investigation is still going on, but authorities said the driver of the truck is likely to face charges.
The people inside the vehicle are in Border Patrol custody.
