NEAR SULLIVAN CITY – At least five suspects are on the run following a shooting Wednesday near Sullivan City.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office says a man was shot in a neighborhood on Amarillo Drive near the county line.

Sheriff Eddie Guerra told CHANNEL 5 NEWS the suspects exchanged gunfire with the man. One of them may have been hit. He says a notice was sent to local hospitals, alerting them to keep an eye out for individuals with gunshot wounds.

No word on the condition of the man.
