ESCOBARES- A Starr County burglary suspect was taken into custody Saturday afternoon.

Authorities tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS he was wanted for breaking into a building and stealing cash, checks and money orders.

The Starr County Special Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Bazan Street in Escobares, related to a burglary of a Justice of the Peace office on May 2.

The suspect was arrested by Escobares police.

His identity is being held pending his arraignment.
