WESLACO – Three Cameron County judges will have to wait a little longer to hear back from the Supreme Court on a case involving visas.

In many of the visa-related cases, the government questioned the person’s citizenship due to having both U.S. and Mexico birth certificates.

The government was supposed to file a response by Jan. 2 but asked for an extension.

The new deadline is Feb. 1.
