WESLACO - There were six unbeaten Valley football teams when week five began, and six still standing after the week's games had been played.  San Benito won the Game of the Week over Los Fresnos 43-33 to remain unbeaten.  PSJA conquered PSJA Southwest 44-14.  Vela won its 12th straight regular season game on Thursday night.

In the sub-6A ranks, Mission Veterans and Raymondville became the first area teams to win five games this season.  That's halfway to a perfect regular season.  Lopez overwhelmed Porter 35-7.

The new Dave's Dozen rankings will be released Monday night at 10 on CHANNEL 5 NEWS.  Enough games have been played now to provide a sufficient sample size that will allow a full and new evaluation of all the Valley's top teams.
