Drivers traveling southbound on the freeway in Raymondville will be diverted off the main lanes and onto the frontage road through Friday morning, according to a news release.

The closure of the I-69E starts Thursday, September 12 at 9 p.m. between the intersections of US Business 77 frontage road and Rains Road and State Highway 186.

The full closure of the I-69E in Raymondville is being done to allow road crews to safely replace overhead road signs, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The freeway will reopen on Friday, September 13 at 5 a.m., the news release added.
