Hidalgo Co. Investigators Working to ID Body Found in Rio Grande
EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office released photos in hopes of identifying a body found in the Rio Grande.
Border Patrol agents discovered the body south of Hidalgo on Tuesday and notified sheriff’s investigators. Alamo firefighters helped recover the body.
According to the sheriff’s office, the body had moderate signs of decomposition. Investigators determined the body found was that of a man between 30 and 40 years old. A justice of the peace ordered an autopsy.
