MISSION – A former Mission doctor accused of inappropriate contact with his patients is now facing additional charges.

Humberto Rafael Bruschetta is charged with four counts of sexual assault.

Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies arrested him earlier in September. 

The sexual assault charges are on top of two sexual assault and indecent exposure charges filed by the Mission Police Department back in May.

Bruschetta was an endocrinologist in Mission.

The Texas Medical Board suspended his medical license in light of the charges.
