Businesses across the Valley have been struggling to survive during the pandemic, but help could soon be on the way.

Sales Manager at Hermes Music in McAllen Emma Trejo said it's been a year of reinventing, counting on online sales more than ever. 

"Selling online-- we have been sending instruments all over the United States," Trejo said. "And we do get quite enough traffic from international countries, we get a lot of traffic from Mexico."

For businesses that need extra assistance, the Small Business Administration will soon offer more than $280 billion in Paycheck Protection Program loans, also known as PPP. 

The SBA said they are working alongside the Department of Treasury on how the new aid will play out.
