Rio Hondo Bridge Expected to be Closed for 5 Days for Repairs to Damaged Column
RIO HONDO – Drivers commuting through the Rio Hondo Bridge will need to find another route for the next few days.
The Texas Department of Transportation announced they will be closing the bridge for repairs.
Octavio Saenz, TxDOT spokesman, says traffic will be blocked off starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. He added repairs should last five consecutive days.
Gibson and Associates is contracted to fix the damage to the bridge.
