CENTRAL

AUSTIN: FAIR. Water clear; 65 degrees; 0.89’ low. Largemouth bass are fair but have been sporadic overall. Topwaters, spinners and plastic worms have been best. The creek mouth points, and humps near the placed fish attractor locations have been promising for black bass and occasionally sunfish. Sunfish are fair on cutworms and corn. At night flatheads and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait.

BASTROP: GOOD. Slightly stained; 71 degrees; Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms, crankbait and rigged lizards among vegetation, and on points. Crappie are fair on jigs and live bait. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait or cut bait. Flathead catfish are fair on live bait. The power plant warm water seems to be holding the cats.

BELTON: FAIR. Lightly stained; 64 degrees; 2.36’ low. Largemouth bass are fair with spinners and Carolina rigged plastic worms on the many creeks. Smallmouth are on fire from the dam to the north fingers on grubs, jigs, and buzzbaits. All black bass are seeking protection from the north wind. Hybrid stripers are good in the main channels on live bait, jigs, and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on mostly jigs in deep cover. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shad, shrimp, blood bait, and stinkbait.

BROWNWOOD: GOOD. Lightly stained; 63 degrees; 3.27’ low. Largemouth bass are good on crankbaits, spinners, jigs and topwater in shallow water along creeks and creek points. White bass are good on slabs and Alabama rigs in the main lake area between 10-18 feet, and at night fishing under lights had been fair as well. Catfish have been good on prepared bait, and shad baited trotlines.

BUCHANAN: GOOD. Water stained; 61 degrees; 3.95’ low. Largemouth bass are good with topwater lures, jigs, and spinners. In the main lake use crankbait, and spinners among deeper drops. Striped bass are fair on plastic swimbaits and Rat–L–Traps. White bass are good on minnows following birds and baitfish. Crappie are slow on jigs. Channel catfish have been good on stinkbait, yellow and blue catfish are good on live or stink bait.

CANYON LAKE: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 2.68’ low. Largemouth bass is fair around main lake points with a drop shot and crankbait. Fish can be caught shallow or deep just have to adjust for what you're targeting. Bigger fish are going to be hard to come by. White bass are fair on minnows in the drops leading to the main lake. Hybrid and striped bass continue to be fair on topwater baits, grubs, and jigging spoons. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait for channel and blue catfish. Live bait has been consistent for flathead.

FAYETTE: GOOD. Water stained. 64 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on spinners and crankbait worked along the vegetation and discharge channel. Sunfish are fair on worms and crickets. Catfish are fair on stinkbait, live bait, and cut bait.

GRANBURY: FAIR. Water lightly stained. 62 degrees. 0.50’ low. Crappie fishing is good around brush piles and boat docks with minnows and jigs. Catfishing is fair fishing over baited holes or with stinkbait or cut bait. White bass are fair on slabs and live bait. Largemouth bass can be found around boat docks and shoreline cover. Stripers are slow but can be caught on live shad.

GRANGER: GOOD. Water clear; 61 degrees; 0.07’ low. Black bass are good upriver on crankbaits and spinners. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows among structure in 10 feet or less of water. White bass are fair on slab spoons moving along humps and ridges. Catfish are fair on cut bait and live bait fished above bobbers or on juglines.

LBJ: FAIR. Water stained; 61 degrees; 0.72’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinners, plastic rigged worms and jigs around cover and vegetative cover. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows moving to medium depth water. White bass are fair on smaller crankbaits, jigs, and minnows in deep water. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait, flathead catfish good on live bait.

LIMESTONE: FAIR. Water stained; 62 degrees; 2.79’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on plastic worms, topwater, spinners, and buzz baits in the mouths of creeks. White bass and hybrid stripers are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around standing timber. Catfish are good on cut shad, shrimp, worms, or prepped baits.

NAVARRO MILLS: FAIR. Water stained; 62 degrees. 2.18’ low. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in mid-depth water and with manmade structure. Catfish are good with stink bait, live and cut bait. White bass are good on slabs. Black bass are slow with spinners, buzzbait, and jigs.

PROCTOR: FAIR. Water stained. 62 degrees. 3.14’ low. Largemouth bass are slow to fair on the south end feeder creek channels with spinners, crankbaits and minimal topwater. Trolling for hybrid stripers with live bait is fair. Crappie have been good with jigs among structure. Catfish have been good on stinkbait and cut bait.

SOMERVILLE: GOOD. Water stained; 64 degrees; 0.22’ low. Largemouth bass are good on plastic worms, spinners, and topwaters among Welch Park Islands. Hybrid striper and white bass are fair mainly in open water or deep points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs with structure. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live bait, and cut bait.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 2.41’ low. Largemouth are good on topwaters, spinners, and crankbait down the Lampasas. Smallmouth are fair with topwaters and crankbaits look for rocky points. White bass are fair with Alabama rigs. Sunfish are fair in shallow water on cutworms. Catfish are fair with shad across the flats. Trotlining is best in the upper lake using live sunfish.

TRAVIS: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 9.48’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on topwaters, and live bait along main lake points and large drops. Crappie are slow on minnows and weighted jigs. White bass have been fair in steep coves among larger structures. Catfish are fair on cut bait, prepped bait, and live bait.

WALTER E. LONG: FAIR. Water stained. 65 degrees; Largemouth bass are good in the grass and around reeds with a senko or swimbait. As the weather gets consistently colder the fishing should only get better. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are fair on prepared baits, cut baits, and live bait. Sunfish can be caught on crickets and corn in any shallower structure.

WACO: FAIR. Water lightly stained. 64-68 degrees; 4.20’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, and plastic worms on Hog and Flatrock creeks. Crappie are fair on minnows and weighted light-colored jigs among shallow flats and standing timber. Sunfish are fair on worms or crickets. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut shad, live bait, and blood flavored-prepped bait.

WHITNEY: FAIR. Water stained 64 degrees; 6.00’ low. Black bass are good on plastic worms and crankbaits along the deeper points. White bass are fair on Alabama rigs, spinnerbaits and with minnows in the main reservoir. Crappie are fair with minnows and jigs in the middle or upper ends of the lake. Catfish are good on live shad, stink bait, and cut shad.

NORTHEAST

ARLINGTON: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 1.27' low. Largemouth bass are sticking near the power plant, and around docks on spinners, topwaters, and plastic worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around docks and brush structure. Catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait.

ATHENS: FAIR. Water clear to stained; 63 degrees; 1.04’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Texas rigs, crankbaits, jigs, and spinnerbaits by the fishery and upper grassy end of the lake. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs among vegetation. Catfish are fair on cut bait and stinkbait. Sunfish are fair on cut earthworms around shallow vegetation and shallow boat docks.

BENBROOK: FAIR. Water stained; 61 degrees; 10.53’ low. Largemouth bass are consistently fair on Carolina rigged worms and lighter-colored spinnerbaits in the mouths of the creeks. Crappie are fair on minnows on brush piles and shallower points. Hybrid striped bass and white bass are good with slabs, spinners, or spoons. Catfish are good on stinkbait and live bait. Sunfish are fair with prepared bait pellets or cutworms.

BOB SANDLIN: FAIR. Water stained; 64 degrees; 0.83’ low. Largemouth bass on are good on topwater, jigs and spinners among shoreline vegetation. Crappie are very good on jigs and minnows over brush. White bass are fair on jigs. Catfish are good on worms or stinkbait.

BRIDGEPORT: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees: 4.62’ low. Black bass are fair on rigged worms, topwater, spinners, and rigged crawfish near rocky points. Crappie are good with jigs and minnows in deeper brush piles. White bass are good on slabs and live minnows in the main lake around islands. Hybrid are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on shrimp and cut bait.

CADDO: GOOD. Water stained; 62 degrees; 0.43’ high. Largemouth bass are good moving from the northwest flats to the ridges on topwater baits, plastic worms, and spinnerbaits in creeks and coves. Crappie are f good on smaller minnows and jigs with most structure. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and live bait.

CEDAR CREEK: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 61–64 degrees, 2.05’ low. Unchanged outside of water temps. Largemouth bass are good on spinnerbaits, Carolina rigged creature baits, plastic worms, and buzz baits towards the north 198 & 175 flats, along with the Caney Creek flats on the southeast end of the lake. Hybrid stripers are good with Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are good on pink and white jigs around larger docks and the flats on the northern end. Catfish are good on cut shad and stinkbait 5 feet or deeper. Use live bait with trotlines.

COOPER: FAIR. Water clear; 61–63 degrees; 2.70’ low. Largemouth bass are fair with topwaters, Carolina rigged worms and spinners on main lake points, and islands. The white bass continue to be good on slabs and live bait. Catfish are very good on live and cut bait.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: FAIR. Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 1.66’ low. Black bass are fair around the marina and boat docks on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and worms around the Trinity River vegetation and private docks. Hybrid Striped bass are good with cooler temps on crankbait near ledges and in the main lake. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut bait, prepped bait, and liver.

FORK: GOOD. Water stained; 59-64 degrees; 1.91’ low. Largemouth bass are good on plastic worms, caterpillars, and Alabama rigs with the known points and among standing timber. White and yellow bass are good on Alabama Rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows in the stumps or man-made structures. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut bait.

GRAHAM: FAIR. Water stained; 58-61 degrees; 2.66' low. Largemouth bass are good on bottom-hugging bait and slow-moving lures in 6-20 feet of water. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs and Alabama rigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad and live bait.

GRAPEVINE: FAIR. Water stained; 59-64 degrees; 0.50’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Texas and Carolina rigged worms, and spinnerbait near rocky shorelines with quick descents. White bass are good on live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on live and prepped bait.

JACKSONVILLE: FAIR. Water stained; 59-61 degrees; 0.99' low. Largemouth bass are fair along the dam and Byrd Creek with spinners, jigs, and crankbaits. Crappie are slow on jigs. Catfish are slow on cut shad, and prepped bait.

JOE POOL: GOOD. Water stained; 61 degrees; 2.70’ low. The largemouth bite is fair to good on plastic worms, spinnerbaits and crankbaits around underwater structure. Crappie are good using live bait around the highway bridges. Catfish are good on cut bait by the spillway

KEMP: FAIR TO GOOD. Water clear; 60-62 degrees; 2.27’ low. Largemouth are good on Texas rigged, straight-tailed worms, crankbait, and spinnerbait around the Wichita River. Crappie are good on crappie jigs in the same area as largemouth. White bass and hybrid continue to be good on slabs throughout the reservoir. Catfish are good with blood and liver prepared baits.

LAKE O' THE PINES: GOOD. Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.97’ high. Largemouth bass are fair on topwater, spinners, swimbaits and chatter baits throughout the lake on points and among aquatic vegetation. Crappie are good on bigger jigs and minnows near standing timber in 20 feet of water. Catfish are good on all types of catfish bait especially live bait. White Bass have been good on the main channel.

LAVON: GOOD. Water stained; 60-62 degrees: 3.96' low. Largemouth bass are good on white spinners, Carolina rigged lizards, Texas rigged worms, and crankbaits in the east fork of the Trinity River. White bass are fair in deeper water near the dam on small jigs and minnows. Crappie are good on jigs in deep water structure. Catfish are good on live bait, cut bait, and prepped blood bait.

LEWISVILLE: FAIR. Water stained; 59-61 degrees; 0.98’ low. Black bass are good on topwater, Texas-rigged plastic baits and spinnerbaits on cove edges with timber. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and weighted jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and cut bait. Hybrid stripers are fair on rattle traps, will be found feeding on large groups of shad.

MARTIN CREEK: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 65-68 degrees; 3.10' low. Largemouth bass are fair to good on crankbaits and spinners. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows around brush piles and creek channels. Catfish are very good on live bait, cut bait, or prepped bait throughout the lake.

PALESTINE: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 62–64 degrees; 1.47’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms and jigs near shallow and deep structure on the upper end of the lake. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Hybrid stripers are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are excellent on shad and chicken livers.

PALO PINTO: SLOW. Water stained; 62-65 degrees; 2.97’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms, spinners and shallower baits on medium depth ridges and coves. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs around vegetation. White bass are fair on live shad. Striped bass are picking up with colder temps on live shad and jigs. Catfish are fair on live shad, minnows, and stinkbait.

RAY HUBBARD: FAIR. Water stained; 58 degrees; 2.73’ low. Largemouth bass are fair to good on spinners and topwater poppers. Best spots have been shielded from the north wind. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows around weed beds and standing timber north of I-30. White bass and hybrid stripers are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, livers, and cut bait.

RAY ROBERTS: GOOD. Water stained: 59-61 degrees; 0.37’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms, lizards and topwater on drops, and within with decent vegetation. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows around brush and timber. Whitebass are heating up around deep structure in 20-40 feet on white or clear shad. Sunfish are good with cutworms. Catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 59-63 degrees; 3.16’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on topwater, spinners and jigging spoons. Stay around the island and points not too deep. White bass and hybrids are good on slabs and jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs with the larger structures. Catfish are fair on live bait and cut bait above bobbers below 5 feet.

SQUAW CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 58 degrees; 1.45’ low. Catfishing has been excellent while fishing around the timber next to creek channels mid-lake and up north. Chumming with soured grain is a great way to be more successful when targeting these fish. The largemouth bass fishing has been excellent this week around shallow and deep structure on soft plastic worms and crankbaits 15-25 feet of water depth. Crappie are slow.

SULPHUR SPRINGS: FAIR. Water stained; 60-65 degrees; 0.51’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Texas rigged plastic worms, topwater, spinnerbaits, and bass jigs. The shallower coves have been excelling for largemouth. Crappie continue to be slow on minnows and mostly small. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers, livers, stink bait cut and live bait.

TAWAKONI: FAIR. Water stained; 60–62 degrees; 1.43’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinnerbaits, plastic worms, and jigs. Look for the submerged trees. White bass and hybrid stripers are good on slabs, spoons, and Alabama rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows under bridges, docks, and marinas. Catfish are good on live or cut shad.

TEXOMA: GOOD. Water stained; 58–62 degrees; 1.45’ high. Striped bass are excellent using slabs, swimbaits, and bait under birds. They will be found feeding on shad. Some anglers are finding success dead sticking. Largemouth bass are good drifting live baits in less than 20ft are producing best results. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live sunfish, cut bait, prepped dough balls, and minnows. White bass are good and are biting on live bait.

TYLER: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 2.33’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Carolina rigged creature baits, plastic worms, and crankbaits in both lakes looking for the vegetation. Continue to work the steep banks and points. Crappie are good on jigs under docks in 8-10 feet. Catfish are fair to slow all of a sudden on all stinkbait and live baits. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid stripers are good with Rat–L–Traps following the birds on the surface.

WEATHERFORD: FAIR. Water stained; 63–65 degrees; 2.83’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinnerbaits and plastic worms in and around cove edges to the main lake. White bass are good with smaller crankbaits and Alabama rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in large cover. Catfish are good on crawfish, livers, blood baits, and cut bait.

WORTH: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 62-64 degrees; 1.97' low. Largemouth bass are fair on buzzbaits along the northern flats and vegetation, along with larger docks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs with cover and under docks. Catfish are good on live bait, stinkbait, and cut bait throughout the lake.

WRIGHT PATMAN: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 64–68 degrees; 4.80’ high. Largemouth bass are good with jigs, spinnerbaits and plastic worms. The fish attractors have been hot spots so research the lake when seeking largemouth. White bass are good on slabs and spoons. Crappie are good on jigs. Catfish are good on cut bait, live bait, and stinkbait in the northern waters.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 64 degrees; 31.99’ low. Largemouth bass are good on buzzbaits, spinners, plastic worms, grubs, continuing around the Devil’s River flats and the northern bluffs past the highway 90 bridge. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and cut bait between 6-12 feet.

CALAVERAS: GOOD. Water stained; 65-67 degrees. Channel Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and live shad. Red drum are fair on crawfish and rattle traps. Largemouth bass have been fair on plastic worms, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits by Hondo Creek, the dam, and intake point. Hybrid striped bass are fair on spoons and rattle traps along the canals.

CHOKE CANYON: FAIR TO GOOD. Water lightly stained; 64-67 degrees; 17.19’ low. Largemouth bass are good on topwater, buzzbaits, jigs, plastic worms, spinners, and rattletraps. The best largemouth populations continue along the northern delta and flooded timber. White bass are fair with minnows and smaller rattle traps starting towards the river with the recent cold snap. All catfish are good on larger live bait and cut baits.

CORPUS CHRISTI LAKE: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 66-69 degrees; 2.74’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Texas rigged worms, Carolina rigs, spinners, and crankbaits. Hit the shallow brush flats and the northern end for largemouth success. White bass are good on rattletraps and minnows in the Nueces River. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait, and cheese bait in 10 feet or less of water.

FALCON: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 65-68 degrees; 35.61’ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastic worms, spinners, and topwaters around rock piles and flooded brush. Crappie are good on live bait and hand-tied jigs. Catfish are good on all live bait including shrimp, shad, and stinkbait. Remember to stay on the Texas side unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License.

MEDINA: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 65-68 degrees; 7.45’ low. Largemouth bass are good on trick worms in pink or green, jigs, and shad in the deeper water on main lake points. Crappie are slow with weighted jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on spoons and jigs. Striped bass are fair on rattletraps. Smallmouth bass are good on white grubs and jigs and have been increasing in regularity. Catfish are fair on live bait, chicken livers, and blood baits.

TEXANA: FAIR. Water muddy; 64–70 degrees; 3.33’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on jigs, Texas–rigged soft plastics, buzz baits, and light-colored tube baits. North of 59 continues to be active. Crappie are fair on jigs around standing timber. Catfish are fair to good on stinkbait, cut bait, and live bait. Trotlines are good for all species of catfish.

BRAUNIG: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 65–67 degrees; Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms, some crankbaits and spinnerbaits around the plant jetty. Redfish are fair using crawfish and tilapia, the slowdown has yet to come. Striped bass are fair on jigs and live shad following feeding birds for activity. Catfish are good on live bait and cheese bait.

SOUTHEAST

B.A. STEINHAGEN: GOOD. Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 0.42’ low. Largemouth bass are great in 18-22 feet and on the edges of vegetation with spinners and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows, and catfish are good on cut and prepped bait.

CONROE: GOOD. Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 1.99’ low. Largemouth bass are good on jigs, spinners, and buzzbaits on the northern end and around larger boat dock structures. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid Striped Bass are coming along in open water with jigs and shad. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait.

GIBBONS CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 60-64 degrees; Largemouth bass are fair on most all light-colored Carolina rigged soft plastics and buzzbaits moving to shallower structure and points. The warm water flows from the plant has been good but there are a lot of baitfish in the warmer water. Crappie are good on jigs, especially in the warmer discharge waters. Catfish are good on live bait and liver-flavored prepared bait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: FAIR. Water stained; 63–65 degrees; 0.05’ high. Black bass are good on crankbaits and spinners in the standing timber. White bass are slow with jigs and spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Sunfish are good on live cutworms. Catfish are good on live and cut shad along with stinkbait.

LIVINGSTON: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 63-66 degrees; 0.32’ high. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina or Texas-rigged plastics, spinners, topwater, and jigs in the creeks and coves. Striped bass are good on spoons and shad around and the bridge. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around docks. White bass have been fair on spoons and Alabama Rigs. Catfish are fair on live bait all over the lake.

NACONICHE: GOOD. Water clear; 60-65 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on plastic worms, creature baits, crankbaits, and spinners near Hydrilla in the northern creeks. Crappie are good on jigs and live minnows. Sunfish are fair on jigs, spinners, and crickets. Catfish are good on dough balls, cut and live bait.

RAVEN: FAIR. Water stained; 61-63 degrees; 0.13’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on topwater and big worms around any surface cover. Sunfish are good on crickets also with surface cover.

SAM RAYBURN: FAIR. Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 2.34’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on purple cream worms. White bass continue to be fair on minnows. Crappie have been good on minnows and jigs.

TOLEDO BEND: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 6.70’ low. Bass has been good in shallow to medium depth drops as the water temps continue lower. Largemouth bass are good on crankbaits and spinners. Striped bass are good on topwater, rattle traps, and spoons on humps and along river channels. White bass are fair on spoons and small crankbaits. Channel and blue catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait. Crappie are good around on jigs and live minnows around structures.

PANHANDLE

CISCO: FAIR. Water clear; 61 degrees; 2.95’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Texas rigged worms, buzzbaits and jigs on points and the southwest end of the lake. Sunfish are fair with earthworms or grubs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers, liver, and cut shad all over the lake.

MEREDITH: FAIR. Water stained; 53-56 degrees; 47.08’ low. Largemouth bass are slow on Texas rigged plastics and topwaters. Smallmouth bass are fair on crankbait. Walleye are good on crankbaits and rattletraps. Channel catfish are good on cut bait and live bait. The drops and flooded timber have been the most successful for all game fish.

MILLERS CREEK: GOOD. Water stained; 62 degrees; 1.59’ low. Largemouth bass are good on jigs, plastic worms and rattle traps around submerged trees. Crappie are good on minnows among the same structure as bass. White bass and hybrids have been good trolling with artificial and live baits. Catfish are good with blood and liver prepared baits in deeper than normal waters.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: FAIR. Water clear 61 degrees; 1.66' low. Largemouth bass are fair on rigged worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits around timber in the arms of the lake. Spotted bass are fair to slow. Crappie are good on minnows, and jigs fishing the pier and other structure. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait.

ARROWHEAD: FAIR. Water stained; 59 degrees; 1.94’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Texas rigs, topwaters, and buzzbait in lake points, and fallen timber. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs near the derricks, dam, and bridges. Catfish are good on punch bait.

COLEMAN: GOOD. Slightly stained. 58-65 degrees. 2.70’ low. Hybrid stripers are good drift fishing with live bait. Largemouth bass are fair to good on topwater, spinnerbaits, plastic worms, and jigs in shallow, calmer waters when in creeks and coves. Trotlines have been effective lately with live bait.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 2.33’ low. White and hybrid striped bass are good along the western end with deep-diving crankbaits and live shad. Largemouth bass are fair on plastic worms and spinners. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs under docks. Catfish are fair at night when the wind is still on cut shad and stinkbait.

HUBBARD CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 61-63 degrees; 2.18’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Texas rigs worms and topwaters on the northern end of the lake. Crappie are currently excellent on live minnows and jigs over brush and in standing timber. Catfish are fair at night on live and cut shad.

NASWORTHY: FAIR. Water Murky 60-65 degrees. 1.02’ low. Largemouth Bass are slow. Fronts coming in pretty regular now so you must slow down and slow down some more. Crankbaits and pitching up in the reed beds with a creature bait should get a bite. Crappie fair under deeper docks and next to bridge pilings on Crappie Minnows.

OAK CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 2.02’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on spinners, topwater, Carolina rigged worms with fallen and flooded timber. Crappie are fair on live minnows around steep drops and rocky points. White bass are fair. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and live and cut shad.

O.C. FISHER: GOOD. Water Stained to Murky 61-65 Degrees. 37.24’ low. Largemouth Bass are good on plastics next to bigger trees along creek and river channels. Crappie are good along the dam on crappie minnows.

O.H. IVIE: FAIR. Water stained; 61-64 degrees; 9.91’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms, minnows and jigs. Standing timber continues to be the best situation but watch the wind conditions. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs with improved success at night. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM: GOOD. Water clear; 61 degrees; 1.38’ low. Largemouth bass are good in deeper water and look for any vegetation on plastic worms and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on jigs, and minnows under boat docks. White bass are sporadic on jigs, slabs, and spoons. Striped bass are fair on live shad and jigs. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.

SPENCE: SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 36.11’ low. Largemouth bass are slow in all spots on plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits. Crappie are fair on crappie jigs. Catfish are fair on live and cut bait.

STAMFORD: FAIR. Water stained; 67-68 degrees; 1.15’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on topwater, Carolina rigged plastic worms, and jigs near the powerplant or points with vegetation. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs within fallen timber. White bass are fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait prepped pellets.

TWIN BUTTES: FAIR. Water Stained. 60-64 Degrees. 9.06’ low. Largemouth Bass fair on Carolina Rigs on deeper Points and Crankbaits next to Bluffs. No Report on Crappie.

WHITE RIVER: SLOW. Water murky; 62–64 degrees; 21.50’ low. Drought conditions are still in place. Largemouth bass are slow to fair on crankbaits, Carolina rigs, and craws. Crappie are slow on live minnows and jigs. Walleye are slow. Catfish are fair on live bait, cut bait, and prepared bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: GOOD. 63-65 degrees. Water clarity is normal, with high water levels, and trout are still biting well on jigs and soft plastics. Redfish can be found mixed in with schools of trout following the shorelines. Best lures right now are soft plastics and jig heads fished with or without a popping cork. Best flounder bait is live finger mullet or mud minnow on a short fish-finder rig (Carolina rig) or Gulp lures on a jig. The cold front has changed a few patterns to later in the day but nothing dramatic yet.

SOUTH SABINE: GOOD. 63-65 degrees. Water clarity is normal, with high water levels, and trout are still biting well on jigs and soft plastics. Redfish can be found mixed in with schools of trout following the shorelines. Best lures right now are soft plastics and jig heads fished with or without a popping cork. Best flounder bait is live finger mullet or mud minnow on a short fish-finder rig (Carolina rig) or Gulp lures on a jig. The cold front has changed a few patterns to later in the day but nothing dramatic yet.

SABINE LAKE: GOOD; Water in the Sabine lake system is standard Sabine lake tannic stained with visibility varying from two to four feet. Speckled trout: The water temperature drop has put a kink in the trout bite. However, good quality trout can still be caught in certain areas that are deeper such as the ICW or mouths of rivers, ditches, and bayous. Best lures right now are Mirro Lure Lil Johns, Down South Lures coupled with ¼-oz. jig heads. Best hard baits are "S" series Lele by Barboleta Lures and Mirro Lure Catch 5. Redfish: Redfish are scattered along shorelines but mostly can be found in the mouths of ditches and drains. Jigs and soft plastics are the best right now. Flounder: The flounder run is on. Recent cold weather has triggered the flounder to move to the Gulf. Channel drops at Sabine Pass are good places to fish. Best bait is live mud minnows or jig and Gulp lures.

PORT MANSFIELD: Good. Trout have been good in 2 to 6 feet on the flats and the east cut using shrimp or gulp under a popping cork, kwigglers ball tail in red and white and willow tail in Mansfield margarita. Reds are good also in the flats in 2 to 3 feet of water using willow tails in grape and chartreuse and shallow running baits. Flounder in east cut on gulp. Remember when these fronts blow in the bay gets very rough! Please pay attention to the weather reports and don’t get caught out in one of these fronts as they blow in! Safe boating to all.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: VERY GOOD. 68 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are very good on chunking plastics or live shrimp. Red drum are good on live shrimp and mostly found in the surf. Flounder is very good on a minnow.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: VERY GOOD. 68 degrees. Trout continue to be good on soft plastics. Redfish are very good on chunking plastics. Black drum are fair on live shrimp. Limits on flounder using minnows.

PORT O’CONNOR: GOOD. 45-50 degrees. Slightly stained. Drastic swing in water temperature due to the cold front and freeze warning. Trout are very good on a combination of live or fresh baits such as shrimp or crab. Redfish are very good in back bays on live shrimp. Tarpon are very good on mullet or pinfish. Flounder are good on minnows or mullet and croakers in vegetation.

ROCKPORT: Current fishing conditions have water temps dropping to 71 degrees, which is significantly below average water temps over the last month in the 82° range. Water clarity on mid-bay reefs is muddy with having had sustained north winds over 20 mph for about 30 hours that have now have dropped to 7 mph currently out of the North. Solid redfish action and the start of some good Flounder action can be found on guts the draining Estes Flats, South Bay and St. Joseph Island. Anglers looking for good Trout action under current conditions should be working shell reefs on protected shorelines or deep holes in flats. Live shrimp is always a favorite bait for trout, redfish and flounder this time of year. Limited live shrimp will be available during current conditions and anglers tout soft plastics to produce good fishing action. Soft plastic swimbaits for trout, redfish, and flounder are becoming more effective as the bait leaves the bays for the winter. KDenlures, Down South Lures, and Chickenboy soft plastic swimbaits rigged on the sound-producing Texas Rattler jigheads have been producing limits of trout and redfish. Pods of bait are moving and migrating, so drift shorelines and the sloughs or the apex of the reefs that run perpendicular to that shoreline for good results.

BAFFIN BAY: EXCELLENT. The cold front shook the end of this week, but redfish continues to be excellent in the flats with topwater and live bait following the mullet. Flounder is excellent on jigs or minnow. Still getting limits on trout using chartreuse Gulp 4-inch twirl tail mullet.

SOUTH PADRE: FAIR to GOOD. 68 degrees. Clear. Fishing is good for redfish on spoils of the Intercoastal Waterway with fresh cut mullet. Trout have still been on the deeper grassy areas. Trout fish by drifting over the potholes with popping and live shrimp. Cold Front this week is changing conditions this week so make sure and check next week’s report for changes.

PORT ISABEL: VERY GOOD. 72 degrees. Black Drum are being caught off the piers with frozen shrimp and crab scented fish bites. Many Whiting were also biting both day and night when using frozen shrimp, squid and fish bites. Mangrove Snappers are still biting on live shrimp mullet and perch. At night Speckled Trout are being caught with live shrimp and a variety of glow lures. Sand Trout are being caught with live shrimp and glow shads.

PORT MANSFIELD: GOOD. Trout have been good in 2 to 6 feet on the flats and the east cut using shrimp or gulp under a popping cork, kwigglers ball tail in red and white and willow tail in Mansfield margarita. Reds are good also in the flats in 2 to 3 feet of water using willow tails in grape and chartreuse and shallow running baits. Flounder in east cut on gulp. TRINITY BAY: GOOD. 68 degrees. Water stained. Speckled trout continue to be great on soft plastics and live shrimp. Wade fish the flats for redfish with nothing deeper than 7 feet. Flounder are very good on mullet or shrimp.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: GOOD. 67 degrees. Redfish are good on live bait. Speckled trout consistently good on soft plastics or live shrimp under a popping cork. East shoreline is good for flounder on live mullet and soft plastic.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: GOOD. 67 degrees. Flounder are very good in back lakes and marshes on live mullet or soft plastics like Gulp bait. Redfish are fair in back marshes. Speckled trout are fair on the main bay oyster shell using live shrimp under a popping cork.

TEXAS CITY: GOOD. Still some bull red action along Texas City Dike. Flounder is excellent on live shrimp or minnow around Seawolf. Speckled trout good along levee and Mosquito Island. Black drum are good on blue crab or shrimp.

FREEPORT: GOOD. 67-71 degrees. San Luis Pass very good flounder and redfish along Mud Cut and Cold Pass on live shrimp. Christmas Bay good for redfish and speckled trout using live shrimp or soft plastics. Bastrop Bay redfish on the south shoreline. Freeport Jetties and mouth of Brazos River good for bull reds.

PORT ARANSAS: GOOD. 68 degrees. Redfish are good on shrimp, KWigglers paddle tail, top waters and will be found in schools. Speckled Trout are fair on shrimp, KWigglers ball tail, and top waters. Black drum are good on shrimp or crab or soft plastics. Currently, conditions are changing quickly.

CORPUS CHRISTI: VERY GOOD. 68 degrees. Redfish are schooling and being caught on mullet and shrimp. Trout are very good with popping bobbers. Flounder are very good on minnow or squid or jig.
