CENTRAL

AUSTIN: FAIR. Water clear; 54-55 degrees; 0.99’ low. Dusk continues to be the best for game fish. Largemouth bass are fair casting the edges of vegetation with rigged plastic worms, spinners, jigs, and crankbaits. Sunfish are fair on cutworms, and corn in trying some new spots around shallow water near made structure. Catfish are fair on perch and minnows.

BASTROP: FAIR. Slightly stained; 54-55 degrees; Largemouth bass are fair along the dam, main lake points, and among deep vegetation on small spinners, Carolina rigged plastic worms, jigs, and crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut, live, and stinkbait.

BELTON: FAIR. Lightly stained; 54-55 degrees; 2.98’ low. Black bass are fair on grubs, jigs, plastic worms, and smaller crankbait. Current fishing habitats include shallow vegetation for largemouth and fishing mid-lake humps and ridges for smallmouth. Hybrid stripers are fair on live bait and jigs mid-lake channels bottom fishing. Crappie are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on shad, shrimp, blood bait, and stinkbait.

BROWNWOOD: FAIR. Lightly stained; 51-53 degrees; 3.58’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits, jigs, spinners, and plastic worms on mid-lake points. White bass are fair on Alabama rigs on deeper points out from Leon. Catfish have been good on prepared bait night fishing, and shad baited trotlines.

BUCHANAN: FAIR. Water stained; 52-55 degrees; 3.51’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, fishing shallower structures in stained water, and clear water with roots. Successful baits are jigs, spinners, crankbaits, and plastic worms. Striped bass are fair among the mid-lake humps and drop-offs on live shad and swimbaits. White bass are good on minnows within deep water points or using boat equipment to find schools. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows. Channel catfish have been good on stinkbait, live and cut bait.

CANYON LAKE: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 57-58 degrees; 2.99’ low. Striper fishing continues to be fair on main lake points and humps on live bait. Largemouth bass are fair among points, standing timber, and closer to cover shorelines with crankbaits and spinners. Catfish are good with live and cut bait throughout the lake.

FAYETTE: GOOD. Water lightly stained. 57-58 degrees; Largemouth bass continue to be good with worms, spinners, and crankbait in the standing timber, vegetation, and drop-offs. Sunfish are fair on worms and crickets around bank ledges and structure. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live bait, and cut bait.

GRANBURY: FAIR. Water lightly stained. 54-55 degrees. 0.07’ high. Crappie fishing is fair around brush piles and boat docks with minnows and jigs. Catfishing is good when using cut bait on drop-offs with timber near the main river channel. Look for white bass to be mid-lake and up north. They can be caught on slabs and live bait. Largemouth bass are found around boat docks and timber. Stripers are slow but caught on live shad or soft plastics.

GRANGER: SLOW. Water clear; 55 degrees; 0.34’ high. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on jigs and small minnows casting the edges of structure and moving shallow in spawn prep. White bass are slow to fair fishing the feeder rivers and creeks out to the main lake. Catfish are fair with stink bait and cut bait.

LBJ: GOOD. Water stained; 55-56 degrees; 4.90’ low. Black bass are fair in shallow water, less than 10 feet, surrounding vegetation and beneath deeper docks on jigs, worms, spinners, and crankbait. Crappie are good on jigs under docks. White bass continue to be slow till February. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait.

LIMESTONE: FAIR. Water stained; 56-57 degrees; 3.22’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on plastic worms and spinners deep in the back creeks and finding the warmest water. White bass are fair with spoons and small jigs among main points. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs in standing timber and beneath docks. Catfish are good on cut shad or prepped baits. Flatheads are more consistent with live bait.

NAVARRO MILLS: FAIR. Water stained; 53-54 degrees. 2.55’ low. Crappie are fair on minnows around the marina and upper-end timber. Catfish continue to be good with live bait. White bass are fair on Alabama rigs covering long stretches of ridges and points. Black bass are fair with spinners, crankbaits, and jigs among timber.

PROCTOR: FAIR. Water lightly stained. 53-55 degrees. 3.40’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms in and around brush, spinners, and jigs with surface and submerged cover. Hybrid stripers are fair trolling jigs in mid-lake humps. Crappie are fair with jigs. Catfish have been good on stinkbait and cut bait.

SOMERVILLE: GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.16’ low. White bass and hybrids are fair fishing points and creeks on minnows and some jigs. Crappie are good with small minnows, and jigs searching structure. Catfish are good throughout the lake with cut shad and stinkbait. Largemouth bass are good with plastic worms, crankbait, larger spinners, and jigs near the western creeks and moving shallower to creeks and coves.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 54-55 degrees; 3.54’ low. Black bass are fair on jigs, crankbaits, and Carolina rigged plastic worms in warm water creeks and coves with vegetation. Points and drops off shorelines. White bass are slow. Catfish are fair with live and cut bait, and trot lining with live bait remains popular.

TRAVIS: FAIR. Water clear; 57-59 degrees; 10.35’ low. Largemouth bass remain fair on fishing points and sharp drop-offs with artificial and live baits. White bass have been decent at the mid-lake moving shallower than usual with smaller spinners, crankbaits, minnows, and jigs. Catfish are fair on cut bait, live bait, and stinkbait.

WALTER E. LONG: FAIR. Clear to slightly stained. 49-52 degrees; The temperature drop has slowed fish activity to fair. Largemouth bass are fair with plastic worms and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad and minnows. Crappie are fair. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait. Sunfish are good and biting on natural baits like worms or crickets.

WACO: FAIR. Water lightly stained. 55-57 degrees; 5.26’ low. Largemouth bass are good on spinnerbaits and plastic worms, in coves and creeks structures with vegetation. Crappie are fair on minnows and light-colored jigs in timber creeks. Sunfish are fair on worms or crickets. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut shad, live bait, and blood flavored-prepped bait.

WHITNEY: GOOD. Water stained 55 degrees; 5.87’ low. Black bass have continued to be very good on deep diving crankbaits, plastic worms, and jigs between 12 and 26 feet. White bass remain fair on Alabama rigs and with minnows in the south end deep water. Crappie are fair with minnows and jigs looking mid-lake to the north with structure in 10 feet or less. Catfish are fair on cut shad.

NORTHEAST

ARLINGTON: FAIR. Water stained; 56-58 degrees; 0.05' high. Largemouth bass are fair and consistent by docks fishing worms, spinners, and jigs. Crappie are fair among structures such as boat docks, and partially shaded vegetation. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait throughout the lake and around the plant.

ATHENS: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 50-51 degrees; 0.25’ high. Largemouth bass continue to be good on Carolina rigged worms, jigs, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits fishing points and submerged timber with vegetation on the eastern end of the lake Crappie are slow but picking up with minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and dough balls. Sunfish are slow on cutworms, and corn.

BENBROOK: FAIR. Water stained; 50-52 degrees; 5.65’ low. Largemouth bass are fair fishing crankbaits across creek beds, and boat docks. Crappie are fair on minnows in man-made cover. Hybrid striped bass remain slow. White bass are fair with slabs, spinners, or spoons by the dam, and main lake points. Catfish are fair on chicken livers, stinkbait, and live bait.

BOB SANDLIN: FAIR. Water stained; 51-52 degrees; 0.05’ high. Largemouth bass are fair but do not have much daily activity on crankbaits, jigs, and spinners fishing shallower than normal on points and drops. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows with structure. White bass are fair on jigs around piers and boat docks. Catfish are good on worms or stinkbait.

BRIDGEPORT: GOOD. Water fairly clear; 53 degrees: 4.60’ low. Black bass remain fair on points and drops with worms, jigs, and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs moving shallower preparing for spawn. Hybrid are great on slabs and crankbaits, drawing a crowd of birds.

CADDO: FAIR. Water stained; 51-52 degrees; 1.19’ high. Largemouth bass slowed to fair fishing Clinton Lake, Back Lake, and Carter Lake. Crappie are fair on smaller minnows and jigs fishing shallow gaps in vegetation. White bass are fair on small spinners in the open waters. Chain pickerel are fair. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and live bait throughout the shallow reservoir.

CEDAR CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 52-53 degrees, 2.08’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged creatures or plastic worms, crankbaits, spinners, and jigs around larger boathouses around main lake points. Hybrid stripers and white bass are fair in deeper water following schools. Crappie are fair to slow on minnows and shooting large docks with jigs. Catfish are good on cut shad, dough bait, and stinkbait.

COOPER: FAIR. Water clear; 52-54 degrees; 0.71’ low. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms, crankbaits, and spinners in flooded timber. The white bass are good on slabs and live bait. Catfish are excellent on live and cut bait.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: FAIR. Water stained; 53-54 degrees; 0.08’ high. Black bass are fair fishing vegetation and docks with spinners and plastic worms. White bass continue to be slow. Crappie are good on minnows jigs under boat docks. Catfish are good on cut bait, prepped bait, and liver.

FORK: FAIR. Water stained; 52-54 degrees; 1.66’ low. Largemouth bass are fair to good on slugs, worms, and Alabama Rigs on points, timber, and humps. White and yellow bass are fair on Alabama Rigs on deeper points. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows around any structure. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and cut bait.

GRAHAM: FAIR. Water stained; 52-54 degrees; 2.77’ low. Largemouth bass are good and active in warm water biting artificial baits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows around structure. White bass are good on slabs and Alabama rigs. Hybrid stripers are found in the channel between Graham and Eddleman on rattle traps. Catfish are fair on cut shad and live bait.

GRAPEVINE: FAIR. Water stained; 53-54 degrees; 4.59’ high. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms, jigs, and spinners around submerged vegetation and rocky areas around the dam. White bass are fair on live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around brush piles and any structure. Catfish are excellent on live and prepped bait in most parts of the lake.

JACKSONVILLE: FAIR. Water stained; 52-53 degrees; 0.02' high. Largemouth bass are fair with crankbaits, Carolina rigged worms and spinners in creeks, and close to the dam, and deep drops throughout the lake. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows around piers and in creeks. Catfish are slow on cut shad and prepped bait.

JOE POOL: GOOD. Water stained; 54-56 degrees; 2.50’ low. Largemouth bass continue to be good fishing on any submerged structure, and shallower points out of the north wind on jigs, worms, and crankbait. Crappie are good beneath bridges and man-made structures with jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on cut bait by the spillway and near creeks.

KEMP: FAIR. Stained muddy water in shallows but semi-clear in deeper waters; 49 degrees; 1.85’ low. For striped bass, the fishing condition is excellent. Several 12+ pounders caught. 1/2-oz. chrome/blue rattle trap works excellent around the dam. Channel catfish is excellent fishing, abundant amount of fish. Catch them in 4 foot or less water depth, around salt cedar trees, and muddy bottom. Endless amounts of channel cats off points and creek channels. Punch/ stink bait or cut bait is best. No flatheads or blue cats have been caught. Largemouth bass, good to excellent fishing. Smaller fish but quite a few here. Can be found around private docks, around standing timber, or dam. 1/2-oz. rattle trap in red or chrome, Texas rig with white or ball/blue worm work great.

LAKE O' THE PINES: GOOD. Water stained; 54-55 degrees; 0.25’ high. Largemouth bass are fair on worms and crankbaits fishing the vegetation and underwater structure late in the day. Crappie are fair on mostly minnows, and jigs when fishing out from structure. Catfish are good on live bait. White Bass have been fair on Alabama Rigs with points. Sunfish are poor till the water warms.

LAVON: FAIR. Water stained; 54 degrees: 1.97' low. Crappie are good on jigs and spinners finding healthy structure and normally drops within 300 feet of shore. White bass have been poor, but deeper water is showing some promise. Black bass are good on crankbaits, worms, lizards, and jigs looking for flooded vegetation. Catfish are excellent on stinkbait.

LEWISVILLE: GOOD. Water stained; 53-54 degrees; 1.68’ low. Black bass are good fishing deeper water along the dam, rocky steep dropping shorelines, and coves. White bass are fair on slabs on deeper points and structure. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs among brush and vegetation and around marinas drop fishing. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and cut bait. Hybrid stripers are fair.

MARTIN CREEK: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 2.80' low. Largemouth bass are spawning and are being caught on soft plastic baits in shallower water than normal. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows in creek curves and structures. Catfish are excellent on live bait, cut bait, or prepped bait throughout the lake.

PALESTINE: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 0.48’ low. Largemouth bass are good moving towards shallower water on Carolina rigged worms, spinners, and lipless crankbait in coves, and northern creeks. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Hybrid stripers are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish continue to be excellent on shad and chicken livers.

PALO PINTO: FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 3.19’ low. Largemouth bass are fair with structure moving towards coves and feeder tributaries. Crappie are fair on jigs in deeper structures. White bass are fair on live shad. Striped bass are good on live shad and jigs. Catfish are fair on live shad, minnows, and stinkbait.

RAY HUBBARD: FAIR. Water stained; 51-53 degrees; 2.09' low. Largemouth bass are good on crankbaits and spinners in flooded timber and structure near the spillway. White bass are fair on drop shot and spinner tail shads reeling structure. The deeper, the better. Crappie remain slow on minnows and small jigs using bridge pilings, structure, and the docks structures. Catfish are good on live shad mid-lake. Hybrid are fair on lipless crankbaits in deeper water. The power plant to the spillway has been effective with some sand humps.

RAY ROBERTS: GOOD. Water stained: 51-52 degrees; 1.45’ high. Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged worms and lizards working points deeper than normal. White bass are excellent on minnows. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 56-68 degrees; 3.49’ low. Largemouth bass are good on crankbaits, plastic worms, and spinners working deeper points and structure. White bass and hybrids are good on jigging spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around structure. Catfish are good on live bait and cut bait.

SQUAW CREEK: GOOD. Water clear; 55-56 degrees; 0.63’ low. Catfishing is good fishing timber close to creek channels. Chumming continues to add success. The largemouth bass fishing is excellent around shallow and deep structure on soft plastic worms, topwater baits, and crankbaits.

SULPHUR SPRINGS: SLOW. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.73’ high. Largemouth bass continue to be slow. Crappie continue to be slow on minnows and jigs working all structures. Catfish are fair on cut shad and live bait.

TAWAKONI: FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 0.87’ low. Catfish are excellent on live, cut shad and stinkbait closer to banks. Largemouth bass are fair on spinnerbaits, plastic worms, and crankbait along the shoreline, fallen structure, and points. White bass and hybrid stripers are good on slabs, spoons, and Alabama rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows around structure.

TEXOMA: FAIR. Water stained; 48-50 degrees; 0.32’ high. Striped bass are good using slabs, trolling main lake, swimbaits, flukes, and live bait with large schools in creeks and channels. Largemouth bass are good fishing below 15 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs by boathouses, submerged vegetation, and timber. Catfish are fair on live shrimp, cut bait, and minnows.

TYLER: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 51-53 degrees; 1.14’ low. Black bass are good on white Carolina rigged plastic creatures, spinners, and jigs in the vegetation cover, boat dock structures, and natural shorelines with drops. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows in submerged structure, and boat docks. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and live baits. White bass are slow.

WEATHERFORD: FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 0.02’ high. Largemouth bass continue to be fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and plastic worms around natural and artificial structure. White bass are fair with minnows, crankbaits, and Alabama rigs on ridges. Crappie are biting on minnows and jigs relying on all structures. Catfish are good on crawfish, livers, blood baits, and cut bait.

WORTH: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 51-53 degrees; 1.71' low. Largemouth bass are fair with spinners and jigs sticking to successful structure. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs among vegetation beds and under docks. Catfish are good on live bait, stinkbait, and cut bait.

WRIGHT PATMAN: FAIR. Water stained; 51 degrees; 6.07’ high. Largemouth bass are good on slow-moving worms, and jigs among underwater vegetation and man-made structures. White bass are good on slabs and spoons on main lake points. Crappie are fair on jigs within brush piles. Catfish are fair on cut bait, live bait, and stinkbait.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 57-59 degrees; 30.61’ low. Largemouth bass are good working spinners, plastic worms, and crankbaits around points and deeper structure. Topwater is the best bait mornings and evenings in shallower water than daytime fishing. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and cut bait throughout the reservoir. Baiting holes has increased success and in popularity among local catfisherman. Remember to stay on the Texas side unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License.

CALAVERAS: FAIR. Water stained; 58 degrees. Channel Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and cut shad. Red drum are slow on live crawfish and tilapia. Largemouth bass have been fair on jigs, plastic worms and spinnerbaits between 8-15 feet. Hybrid striped bass are fair on spoons, chicken livers, and rattle traps following the main lake channel.

CHOKE CANYON: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 57 degrees; 17.84’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on worms, crankbaits, and spinners fishing points and deeper structure bottom fishing. White bass are fair with minnows deep moving towards the Frio River. All catfish are excellent on larger live bait and cut baits in all water.

CORPUS CHRISTI LAKE: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 61-62 degrees; 3.56’ low. Largemouth bass continue to be fair using spinnerbaits working surface cover, drops, and points. White bass are good on rattletraps and minnows feeding in the Nueces River. Crappie are fair on live minnows along the pier and other structures. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and cheese bait.

FALCON: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65-68 degrees; 37.01’ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastic worms and spinners in timber and vegetation. Fish crankbait and topwater on points. Crappie are slow on live bait among submerged structure. Catfish are good on all live bait, including shrimp, shad, and stinkbait. Remember to stay on the Texas side unless you possess a Mexican fishing license.

MEDINA: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 58-59 degrees; 10.38’ low. Black bass are fair on worms and jigs in deep creek structures and the middle of non-windy coves. Crappie are slow with jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on spoons and jigs near the deeper points. Striped bass are fair on rattletraps mid-lake. Smallmouth bass are good on white grubs and jigs. Catfish are fair on live bait, chicken livers, and blood baits.

TEXANA: FAIR. Water stained; 58-59 degrees; 4.99’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on jigs, Texas–rigged soft plastics, and spinners near creek mouths and submerged brush. Crappie are fair on jigs and small minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait, cut bait, and live bait. Trotlines are good and popular for all species of catfish using live bait.

SOUTHEAST

BRAUNIG: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 57-58 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on Carolina rigged plastic worms, crankbaits, and bass jigs near the dam and rocky points. Red drum have are fair to slow fishing crawfish and tilapia. Striped bass are fair on jigs and live shad in open water. Catfish are good on live bait and cheese bait.

B.A. STEINHAGEN: GOOD. Water stained; 57-58 degrees; 0.26’ low. Largemouth bass are good with spinners and crankbaits in deep submerged vegetation. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows working edges of structure drawing crappie out. Catfish are good on cut and prepped bait.

CONROE: FAIR. Water stained; 59-61 degrees; 1.85’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on jigs, spinners, live shad, and crankbait fishing deeper structure. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in deeper structure. Hybrid Striped Bass are fair. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Sunfish are good with live worms or crickets in shallow water.

GIBBONS CREEK: GOOD. Water stained; 58-60 degrees; Largemouth bass are excellent fishing the warm water discharge on crankbaits and spinners. Crappie are good on jigs. Catfish are good on live bait and liver-flavored prepared bait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: FAIR. Water stained; 58 degrees; 0.22’ high. Very good black bass to 7 pounds 3 ounces with many bass 5 and 6 pounds each in 12 to 15 feet of water using Sinkos and crawfish colored divers. Very few bass in the shallows or by the docks. Good crappie in 25 to 30 feet of water and around baited brush using live minnows. Catfish using boiled deer corn.

LIVINGSTON: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 58-60 degrees; 0.18’ high. Largemouth bass are good most of the winter day working deep points, and ridges on Carolina rigged worms, spinners, and jigs. Striped bass are good on spoons and live shad. Crappie are excellent on minnows and jigs in the creeks. White bass are good on spoons main lake. Catfish are fair on live bait and prepped dough balls.

NACONICHE: GOOD. Water slightly stained; 59 degrees; Largemouth bass are good on spinners, and jigs in all-natural habitats. Crappie are good on jigs, and crappie minnows under vegetation, and bridges. Sunfish are fair on jigs and crickets. Catfish are good on dough balls, cut and live bait.

RAVEN: GOOD. Water stained; 58-60 degrees; Largemouth bass are good in vegetative cover with worms and spinners. Also, topwater on points and flats at dusk and dawn. Sunfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: GOOD. Water stained; 54-56 degrees; 0.73’ low. Largemouth bass are good working long ledges and points with crankbaits, worms, and spinners. White bass are good on minnows and small cranks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs among deeper structure and brush piles. Catfish are good on live and stinkbait.

TOLEDO BEND: FAIR. Water slightly stained; 53-56 degrees; 4.93’ low. The largemouth bass bite has been fair on crankbaits and spinners defining submerged brush with boat instruments. Crappie remains good in brush piles on jigs and minnows in creeks. Striped bass are fair on rattle traps and spoons. White bass are slow. Catfish are fair on chicken livers and dough bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Flatheads prefer live goldfish.

PANHANDLE

CISCO: FAIR. Water clear; 54 degrees; 3.18’ low. Largemouth bass are active from 10 am throughout the day and on jigs and worms. Sunfish are fair with minnows, cutworms, or grubs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows in the shallow cover and under docks. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers, liver, and cut shad all over the lake.

MEREDITH: FAIR. Water stained; 53 degrees; 46.76’ low. Black bass are fair on worms, crankbaits, and jigs. Walleye are slow on crankbaits and rattletraps. Crappie are fair on jigs. Channel catfish are good on cut bait and live bait.

MILLERS CREEK: GOOD. Water stained; 54 degrees; 1.65’ low. Largemouth bass remain good fishing flooded timber on jigs and working vegetation with plastic worms. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs among timber. White bass and hybrids are fair in the deeper southeast portions of the lake. Catfish are good with live, blood, and liver prepared baits.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: FAIR. Water clear 50-53 degrees; 2.40' low. Black bass are good immersed in timber and vegetation trolling edges working worms, crankbaits, and spinners. Crappie are fair on minnows, and jigs fishing the pier. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait.

ARROWHEAD: FAIR. Water stained; 56-58 degrees; 1.89’ low. Largemouth bass are fair and not consistent in any location. Live bait has been more successful than artificials this winter. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs near bridges. Catfish are good on punch bait, prepped baits, and shrimp.

COLEMAN: FAIR. Slightly stained. 56 degrees. 2.93’ low. Hybrid stripers are good drift fishing with live bait on the main lake, and topwater. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbait jigs and plastic worms working timber. Catfish are fair with stink bait and cut bait. Trotlines are getting more popular, so it must be successful.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 1.91’ low. White bass are good with minnows fishing deep points and largemouth habitats. Largemouth bass are good on jigs and spinners working points and coves. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair at night on cut shad and stinkbait.

HUBBARD CREEK: FAIR. Water stained; 56-58 degrees; 2.64’ low. Largemouth bass are fair fishing through standing timber with spinners and jigs. Crappie are good on live minnows fishing structure. White bass are fair, moving deeper. Catfish are fair on live and cut shad.

NASWORTHY: FAIR. Water murky; 56 degrees; 0.97’ low. Largemouth bass are fair in vegetation with jigs and spinners on points. Crappie are fair under docks and natural cover on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair. Catfish are fair on live and prepped baits throughout the lake.

OAK CREEK: FAIR. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 1.95’ low. Largemouth bass are fair in ridges and flooded timber. We have tried a variety of baits with the most success coming on rigged plastics. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs fishing ridges. White bass are fair on Alabama Rigs, and small crankbaits. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers, live bait, cut bait in most areas on the lake.

O.C. FISHER: FAIR. Water stained; 56 degrees; 37.48’ low. The low-water struggle continues. Largemouth bass are slow to fair on trolling topwater, plastic worms, spinners, and jigs. Crappie are slow along main lake humps on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair, moving towards shallower water. Catfish are slow with limited structure.

O.H. IVIE: FAIR. Water clear; 55 degrees; 9.81’ low. Largemouth bass are good continuing to fish timber, submerged structure, and windy points with increased success on worms. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs in the timber and structure. Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait. White bass are fair mid-lake.

POSSUM KINGDOM: GOOD. Water clear; 48-49 degrees; 0.44’ low. The afternoons are the best time to fish for all game species. Largemouth bass are fair on plastic worms and spinnerbaits trolling over any submerged vegetation. White bass are fair on spoons fishing deep points. Striped bass are fair to slow. Catfish are good on cut and live bait.

SPENCE: FAIR. Water stained; 50-52 degrees; 36.72’ low. Largemouth are slow fishing points near the dam, and the Colorado with reeled worms and spinnerbait working slow White bass continue to be slow. Catfish are fair on live and cut bait.

STAMFORD: FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 1.12’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged plastic worms and jigs fishing from the Stamford marina to the plant on all structure. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs casting drops and occasionally timber. White bass are fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish are fair on live bait and stinkbait.

TWIN BUTTES: SLOW. Water stained; 51 degrees; 8.41’ low. Largemouth bass are fair on Carolina rigged worms, spinners, and crankbait. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live prepped and cut bait.

WHITE RIVER: SLOW. Water stained; 52 degrees; 22.09’ low. Drought conditions continue to be in place. Please check boat ramp access. Largemouth bass are fair on artificial and live baits on points, submerged brush, structure, and bank fishing. Crappie are slow on live minnows and jigs. Walleye are slow. Catfish are good on live bait, cut bait, and stinkbait close to the White River Marina.

COASTAL

SABINE LAKE: FAIR. 60-61 degrees. Water condition: Northern reaches of the lake, and both Sabine and Neches Rivers are fresh and muddy. Middle and southern regions and marsh on both Texas and Louisiana side are clear Sabine Lake brown. Visibility 3 feet or more. Speckled trout are hard to find right now except in deeper bayous. Most of the trout are scattered out in mid-lake and are very difficult to find. Redfish are along shorelines adjacent to bayous and ditches and in the ship channel near Sabine Pass. Jigs and soft plastics will catch them, but dead shrimp or cut mullet will work on a Carolina Rig. Black drum are located in the same areas right now. Flounder: We are catching a few nice flounder while fishing for reds. Fish the mud bottoms or mixed mud shell.

PORT MANSFIELD: GOOD. 65 degrees. Reds and trout over mud and sand pockets using topwater,corkies, and kwiggler willow tail. Out in the 4- to 6-foot trout are hitting soft plastics, kwiggler ball tail in red and white most fish in deeper water run smaller but good numbers. Texas water snapper still good.

TRINITY BAY: GOOD. 59-61 degrees. Speckled trout are good on fresh shrimp or mullet around the flats and oyster beds. Redfish are good in the marsh on live mullet and shrimp and are found along the shoreline. The spillway is also a great location due to the warmer water created by the power plant. Flounder is fair on live shrimp or mullet under a cork.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: GOOD. 57-58 degrees. Flounder are good on live shrimp. Redfish and Black drum are good in the channels and drop-offs on soft plastics or live mullet. Speckled trout are good near Oyster Bayou. Catfish are good on cut bait. Sheepshead are good on shrimp near the jetties. In between the east and west are great wade fishing spots for trout called Offatts Bayou, the colder it is, the better for this spot.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: GOOD. 57-58 degrees. Sheepshead are good on shrimp near the jetties. Redfish and black drum are excellent near the south shoreline coves. Flounder are good on live shrimp. Speckled trout are good on mullet or shrimp in the deeper holes. Catfish are good on cut bait.

TEXAS CITY: GOOD. 59-60 degrees. Redfish are good over shell reefs and wells on shrimp. Flounder are good on live shrimp or minnow. Sea wolf are great lately on the flood gates in Moses Lake. Speckled trout are good along the shoreline on mullet or glow corkies at night. Black drum are fair on whole shad.

FREEPORT: GOOD. 61-62 degrees. Water clarity is excellent. Black drum are good on blue crab or shrimp. Redfish will be found in shallow mudflats and are good on shrimp. Speckled trout bite is good on mullet. Sheepshead are fair on shrimp and located around the jetties. Flounder are good around the bridge on mullet. Bull reds are fair at the mouth of the Brazos river on fresh cut mullet.

PORT ARANSAS: GOOD. 62-63 degrees. Flounder are fair on live mullet along the marsh. Redfish are good on shrimp, KWigglers paddle tail, and will be found around the piers. Speckled trout are decent around the reefs and in the Big Bayou on shrimp, and top waters in the shallow water in the warmest parts of the day. Estes Flats is a good spot for redfish and trout due to the shallow grassy flats. Black drum are fair on shrimp or soft plastics. Sheepshead are fair near the north jetty on live bait.

ROCKPORT: GOOD. 60-62 degrees. Redfish are good on live shrimp. Trout are good drifting and wading over hard sand with shell pockets on live bait or a Texas Rattler jig. Flounder have been fair on live finger mullet over rocks.

CORPUS CHRISTI: GOOD. 62-63 degrees. Redfish continue to be good on live mullet and shrimp around Red Dot or Mustang Island. Speckled trout are good on live shrimp in the shallow water in the warmer parts of the day. Flounder are good on minnow or squid and will be found around rock piles. Black drum are fair on shrimp or crab around Laguna Madre.

SOUTH PADRE: GOOD. 63-64 degrees. Redfish are good around the Laguna Vista Cove on live shrimp. Speckled trout are good on live shrimp and found in shallower water in the warmest parts of the day and the muddy flats along the South Bay. Black drum are fair on shrimp or crab

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: GOOD. 62 degrees. Speckled trout and reds are good on live shrimp around the mid-bay reefs. The bigger trout are found on this side of the bay. Redfish are also very good near the south shoreline on live mullet, soft plastics or shrimp under popping cork. Flounder are good on shrimp and will be found around rock piles. Black Drum are fair on crab.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: GOOD. 62 degrees. Black drum is fair on blue crab or soft plastics. Speckled trout are good on live shrimp along the flats around mullet. Redfish are good on live mullet and soft plastics. Flounder are good on live shrimp around Mad Island.

PORT O’CONNOR: GOOD. 64-65 degrees. Black drum are fair on blue crab, shrimp or soft plastics. Trout are good on Carolina rigged finger mullet near the mid-bay reefs. Redfish are good on live shrimp around the mid-bay reefs.. Flounder are good at the end of the jetties on minnows. Sheepshead are also good near the jetty on live shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: GOOD. 63-64 degrees. Redfish are good around the Pie de Gallo rocks on mullet or shrimp. Flounder are good on jigs or minnow. Speckled trout are good on shrimp in shallow water. Sandy Hook flats can be a great spot year-round.

PORT ISABEL: GOOD. 65 degrees. Speckled trout are good in the shallow grass flats south of Laguna Vista. Sheepshead are good on crab. Flounder are good on fresh shrimp or minnows. Jack Crevalle are good on live mullet. Redfish are biting on shrimp and can be found around the southern end of Laguna Madre. Black drum are good on a jig head and are located near mud bottoms. Snook are fair on shrimp and will be found near the port.
