450 acres burned in brush fire north of Rio Grande City

A Starr County fire that has doubled in size since Wednesday afternoon is now the third-largest active wildfire in the state of Texas.
The Las Brisas fire prompted several evacuations Wednesday along FM 755 10 miles north of Rio Grande City.

As of Tuesday night, it has burned 450 acres and is 75% contained.
Fire crews will remain at the scene overnight to monitor for hotspots.
