Early voting begins for Edinburg, South Padre Island runoff elections

Monday marks the first day of early voting in the November runoff elections.
Two races were left undecided, the Edinburg council member Place 2 and the South Padre Island council member Place 2.
Jason De Leon, Moises Segovia, and Eddie Badillo all ran for the Edinburg council member Place 2 seat. Neither of the candidates were able to obtain 50 percent of the voters.
De Leon only obtained 42.87 percent, Segovia obtained 37.5 percent and Badillo only obtained 19.63 percent of the votes.
The candidates for the South Padre Island council member Place 2 seat also weren't able to obtain the votes needed to win.
Aarin Hartwell only obtained 49.11 percent of the votes, Kerry Schwartz obtained 41.09 percent and Esteban Flores obtained 9.8 percent.
Early voting ends on Tuesday, December 9 and Election Day is Saturday, December 13.
