Extension Granted for Supreme Court Response to Visa-Related Case

WESLACO – Three Cameron County judges will have to wait a little longer to hear back from the Supreme Court on a case involving visas.
In many of the visa-related cases, the government questioned the person’s citizenship due to having both U.S. and Mexico birth certificates.
The government was supposed to file a response by Jan. 2 but asked for an extension.
The new deadline is Feb. 1.
