Primera breaks ground on drainage project

The city of Primera is hoping to be ready the next time a heavy storm arrives.

The city teamed up with Cameron County on a new drainage project that broke ground Wednesday.

The project will involve the repaving and construction of west Primera and Burns Road.

Construction is slated to last six months.
