Rusty pipe raises concern for Mercedes residents

Mercedes officials are working to find out who owns the property that has a large rusty pipe.
"We just found out there's a pipe, there's some concerns from some residents because kids are playing around it and might get hurt," Mercedes City Manager Alberto Perez said.
The pipe has been sitting outside an event center on FM 491 for more than six years. Perez said the land where the pipe is on is private property, but once the owner is located, they will ask them to remove it.
