Weslaco ISD teachers learn new teaching style

Fifty Weslaco Independent School District teachers learned a new teaching style Tuesday.
The blended style of learning separates students into stations that target where they are academically.
Experts say it’s good for the teachers and students to help them go at their own pace.
Weslaco ISD is now one of only 20 districts in Texas that is using this new way of learning.
"Instead of every student doing the same thing, when they go to stations and blended learning, they're doing something that's targeting to what they are ready for,” Weslaco ISD Director for Instructional Technology Scott Amdahi said. “The hope is that we can build them up where they're at, and eventually they all rise, they're all successful, we're getting really good results."
