Woman Sent to Hospital Following Auto-Ped Accident on SPI
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Authorities on South Padre Island are investigating an early morning auto-pedestrian accident that sent one woman to the hospital.
Police said the 59-year-old was hit by a minivan as she ran across Padre Blvd. just after 1:00 a.m.
The driver of the minivan, 64-year-old Paul Michael Earnhart, was taken into custody. He’s charged with intoxication assault.
The woman is in critical condition at Valley Regional Hospital.
