1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Sailboat Accident in Corpus Christi
CORPUS CHRISTI – A Corpus Christi man is dead and another hospitalized after going overboard on a sailboat.
On Monday afternoon, a Good Samaritan contacted authorities after they spotted two people in distress near Indian Point.
A Corpus Christi Port Police Department boat crew arrived and took two men out of the water and began CPR on one man who was unresponsive.
Both men were taken to a local hospital, where one of them later died. The other man is listed in stable condition.
The men were reported to have been on a sailboat with two women prior to entering the water. Marina Patrol found the two women aboard the sailboat and brought them to shore.
The case is under investigation.
