$13 Million Awarded in Fishery Disaster Funds
WESLACO – The state of Texas now has millions in disaster funds to help the fishing industry after Hurricane Harvey.
Last week, the state received a $13 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The money is for rebuilding commercial and recreational fishing industries affected by Hurricane Harvey last year.
In a release, Gov. Greg Abbott says the funds will provide coastal businesses with additional resources to make a full recovery.
