2 in Federal Custody for Narcotic Possession
HARLINGEN – Harlingen police seized more than 50 pounds of methamphetamine last week during a traffic stop.
It happened on the 1100 block of North Expressway 77 around 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.
During the stop, a K9 Officer, Katniss, was brought in to conduct the search on the vehicle and alerted the officer to the drugs.
The narcotics have an estimated street value of $700,000.
The driver and passenger were arrested and are currently in custody of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
