2 Men Arrested for Smuggling Drugs into RGV
LA JOYA – Two men say they were forced to carry drugs into the Rio Grande Valley over the weekend.
According to court documents, they were spotted in a group of seven crossing the border in La Joya early Saturday morning.
They carried 10 bundles (103 kilograms) of what tested positive as marijuana.
Both Mexican nationals were arrested and charged with knowingly and intentionally possessing drugs that would be distributed.
Both were before a judge Monday morning.
