7-Year-Old Donates to Help Valley Flood Victims
WESLACO – When it comes to helping flood victims in the Rio Grande Valley, it doesn’t matter how big or small your donation is.
It’s all about your willingness to do what you can to help thousands of people whose homes were left damaged by the June floods.
Seven-year-old Victoria Anzaldua answered CHANNEL 5 NEWS’ call to action to donate to Heart of the Valley: A Helping Hand.
It was too many pennies to count by hand so KRGV’s Christian Von Preysing took it to Lone Star National Bank branch in Pharr.
A total of 1663 pennies tallied up to $16.63. This is a small portion of what’s going toward the reconstruction of homes for low-income families.
