UPDATE: The boil water notice was lifted around 10:30 Sunday morning.

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board has issued a boil water notice for residents due to a large water line break.

This is in accordance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

According to a press release, all customers living within the boundaries north of Ruben M. Torres, Sr. Blvd, FM 802 and east of West Alton Gloor Blvd, south of FM 511, and west of Dana Avenue to boil their water prior of consumption.
