Border agents seize more than 500 pounds of marijuana in Starr Co. abandoned in vehicle
RIO GRANDE CITY – Border Patrol agents in Starr County discovered 546 pounds of marijuana abandoned at a home.
Agents had spotted several people loading bundles into the back of a truck, according to Chief Austin Skero.
Officials later found the truck abandoned at a residence crammed with bundles in the bed and inside the backseat of the vehicle.
The chief says the drugs seized are worth more than $450,000.
