Border Patrol Agent Found Brutally Attacked in El Paso Sector
EL PASO – Border Patrol agents are on heightened alert following a brutal attack of an agent in the El Paso sector.
It happened Saturday. The agent was off duty when motorists found him on the side of a road with serious injuries to his head, chest and hands.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent released a statement regarding the incident:
“The agent is in stable condition. CBP is working closely with the FBI, Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office and the El Paso Police Department on the ongoing investigation. CBP has informed its workforce of this report and has reminded its law enforcement personnel to be alert and aware of their surroundings and potential threats related to their service.”
