The Cameron County Health Department is set to receive another 6,000 doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine to distribute among eligible residents.

The county will host two COVID-19 vaccination drive-thus clinics at the Los Fresnos Fire Department located at 100 Rodeo Dr. on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22.

On Thursday the clinic will operate from 6 a.m. to noon only for individuals 65 years of age or older. On Friday the clinic will operate from 6 a.m. until supplies last and will be open to both tiers 1A and 1B.

"Our focus on Thursday's clinic will be solely for individuals 65 and above," Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño Jr. said. "Because we need to make sure that our most vulnerable are getting addressed."
