RAYMONDVILLE – The city of Raymondville is improving the drainage near the downtown area.

The mayor says the city received a grant of nearly $1 million from the Texas General Land Office.

The funds will be used for a 41-inch drainage pipe off of Fifth Street, between West Main and West Raymond avenues. 

The project is estimated to begin in December and be completed in early 2019.
