WESLACO – Fire crews responded to a fire that broke out in a Weslaco apartment complex Friday evening.

It happened near the intersection of 6th Street and Hospital Drive.

Weslaco Fire Chief Antonio Lopez says one of the apartment’s units suffered heavy fire damage and another suffered heavy smoke damage before first responders put out the flames.   

We’re told no one was injured.
