Donor Shortage Affecting RGV Blood Banks
WESLACO – Rio Grande Valley blood banks are experiencing a shortage of platelet donors.
The regional director of United Blood Services says demand for platelets has increased since many procedures, such as cancer procedures, are being done locally.
