MCALLEN – A driver was taken to the hospital after an overnight wreck in McAllen.

It happened near the McAllen Convention Center early this morning. The driver was taken to McAllen Medical Center in an unknown condition.

Only one vehicle was involved in the accident. McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said police suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.
