EDINBURG - An investigation into an auto-pedestrian accident in Edinburg is underway.

Authorities said it happened around 3 p.m.Thursday at the intersection of Jose Ochoa and West University Dr.

A CHANNEL 5 NEWS viewer sent images of the accident.

Edinburg Police Assistant Chief Oscar Trevino said a man driving a truck was turning left on University Dr. when he hit the pedestrian. He said the driver had the right of way.

The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital with possible internal injuries.
