Former Postal Employee Sentenced to Federal Prison

MISSION - A former postal employee was sentenced to federal prison for receiving bribe money in exchange for addresses of people voting by mail in Mission.

Noe Olvera, 43, pled guilty to accepting $1,000 for providing addresses during the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office race in 2014.

Olvera was sentenced to a year and a half in prison and three years of supervised release.
