Habitat for Humanity Accepting Applications for Low-Income Housing
WESLACO – Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for low-income families in need of affordable housing.
The organization plans to build several homes: two in Harlingen, one in Pharr and one in San Benito.
"For them to have a need, the second thing is for them to be financially stable, and the last thing we look for is for them to be able to partner," says Hansel Ibarra, director of mortgages and family services.
Families chosen will be expected to volunteer 300 hours to help build the homes.
Applications can be filed in person, online, by emailing the director at Hansel@habitatrgv.org or by calling 956-686-7455.
