PHARR – A house fire is under investigation in Pharr.

The homeowner says she’s alive thanks to one of her dogs.

“The little dog that she had, Bully, she was two months. So, she was barking. My mom was sitting in the living room, and she started seeing smoke,” says Rosalinda Perez, the daughter of the homeowner.

The woman lost everything inside the home, including the puppy that saved her.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
