No students were injured following a Wednesday afternoon crash involving an Edinburg CISD bus, according to a district spokesperson.

The occupants of the passenger vehicle involved in the crash were hospitalized at their request, spokesperson Lisa Ayala said.

The crash happened at Terry and Richardson roads, and the students on the bus were from J. Economedes High School and Memorial Middle School.

According to Ayala, the students on the bus were placed on another bus to resume their routes home.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident with assistance from the Edinburg CISD Police Department.
