La Feria Teen Arrested for Allegedly Sending Threatening Messages
LA FERIA – A La Feria man is behind bars and could potentially face serious charges.
La Feria Police Department arrested a 17-year-old after he allegedly sent text messages about a potential threat to the local police department.
La Feria Police Chief Cesar Diaz said they responded to a report regarding a suspicious text message. He said they followed up on the information they received and arrested the teen at his home.
Diaz said the teen remains in their custody and is expected to be arraigned soon.
The teen could be facing terroristic charges.
Terroristic charges could be classified as a felony or a misdemeanor depending on the circumstances.
