Lyford Police Release Autopsy Results in Child Death Investigation

LYFORD – Lyford police now have more information about the death of a 9-month-old girl in a daycare.

Lyford Police Chief Andres Maldonado tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the preliminary autopsy results show the baby did not suffer any blunt force trauma.

However, toxicology reports are still pending.

On Wednesday, the child was found unresponsive during nap time at the Kidsville Learning Center. 

The daycare owner tells us employees immediately began CPR on the baby girl until an ambulance arrived.

She was declared dead later at a hospital.
