BROWNSVILLE – Severe weather in the forecast is causing a Rio Grande Valley electric company to close one of its offices.

Magic Valley Electric Coop says it will close the Brownsville office only on Friday. The company expects the area to flood due to heavy rainfall. 

They say crews will still be on standby for anyone experiencing power outages.
