McAllen Family Displaced following House Fire
UPDATE (9:00 p.m.): The house fire in McAllen forced out one family from their home.
It happened around 5 p.m.on La Vista Avenue near 23rd Street.
McAllen Assistant Fire Chief Jim Schultz says two people were in the home when the fire started in the garage. It was contained to that area only.
Schultz says the family won't be allowed back in until a safety check is conducted.
MCALLEN – Fire crews responded Monday to a house fire in McAllen.
Flames broke out this afternoon at a home on the 2500 block of La Vista Avenue.
The city of McAllen asked people to avoid the area while crews extinguished the fire.
