McAllen Police Say Robbery Suspect Arrested

(UPDATE 5:20 P.M.): McAllen police say they've arrested the man that robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

MCALLEN – Authorities are searching for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in McAllen.

The robbery happened at the Greater State Bank on the 3300 block of 10th Street, just south of Nolana Avenue and 6th Street.

Authorities investigated the area and focused their attention on a blue Hyundai Elantra, which was parked at an apartment complex on 6th Street and Marigold Avenue.

They swabbed the car for evidence, took fingerprint samples and also took pictures at the scene.

Multiple police units were present, as well as a K9 vehicle and helicopter.

The suspect is described as a male with dark complexion and was wearing an orange hoodie. His face was covered with what appears to be a black ski mask.

The crime is still under investigation.
