McAllen Shelter Reopens its Doors to House Migrants

MCALLEN – The Salvation Army is back on rotation to house immigrants.

A spokesperson for the shelter says they need to adjust the amount of help they can provide this time.

The Salvation Army in McAllen is once again housing immigrants overnight.

They received their first group Monday night and are expected to get another Tuesday.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned the shelter had stopped taking in immigrants because the demand had dropped.
