Mexico's Murder Toll Over The Weekend Hits At Least 25
WESLACO – At least 25 people were murdered over the weekend ending on January 28th, according to Mexican officials.
Geopolitical intelligence website Stratfor reports the murders took place at a house party, a bar, a restaurant and illegal roadblocks.
Recent federal data out of Mexico showed that murders hit a record high of more than 25,000 in 2017.
Stratfor also reports these murders come during a more than 10-year government battle against drug cartels.
