New Concerns Arise over Walker Lake Following Heavy Rain

LA JOYA – Residents in La Joya are concerned about dead fish at a nearby lake.

Walker Lake has been dealing with an invasive species called Hydrilla.

They say now that the water levels have risen with the recent heavy rain, there’s less fish to eat the invasive plant that is taking over the lake.

KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro spoke with the interim general manager to find out what is being done overcome the invasive species.
