New Law Prompts Owners to Destroy Bump Stocks
WESLACO - Bump-stock owners have four days left to get rid of them.
Last year, Attorney General Matthew Whitaker announced the Department of Justice will now define bump-stocks as machine guns.
The rule goes in to effect on March 26.
Owners are expected to destroy their bum-stocks by melting, crushing or shredding them.
Residents can also abandon bump stock devices at their local Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives Office.
