ALTON – The Alton Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire Friday morning.

It happened on the 5002 block of Janis Road around 10 a.m. The fire department called the Palmview Police Department for help.

The fire was put out in six to seven minutes.

Alton Fire Lt. Manuel Garza said no one was inside the home when the fire broke out.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
