PHARR – A bridge in Pharr is on the list for a makeover after construction equipment became wedged underneath it.

The incident happened last Monday under I-2 on North Cage Boulevard.

An excavator didn’t make it through the 15-foot clearance. The impact busted the machine’s hydraulic line and chipped the bridge’s underside.

The Texas Department of Transportation estimates the repair will take about two months.

The agency explains the area is safe for drivers.
