Pharr City Officials to Raise Water and Property Taxes
PHARR – Two unanimous decisions by Pharr city officials will be raising rates on water and property taxes, but some residents had no idea about the changes .
Pharr's water rate will be increased nearly 8 dollars starting October first.
Property taxes will go up 8% effective next year
City Commissioner Bobby Carrillo told us the extra funds will be going to city improvements, updating water and sewage lines and starting drainage projects.
