Runoff Election for McAllen City Commissioner Set for March 3

MCALLEN – A runoff election and early voting will be taking place for McAllen City Commissioner District 1.  

Since none of the candidates secured the majority needed to win in the Jan. 20 election, a vote by the board of commissioners to set a date was made on Jan. 29.    

The candidates that received the highest number of votes in the last election, Tim Wilkins and Javier Villalobos, will be facing off on Saturday, March 3.  

Early voting for the runoff will also be held from Feb. 14 to Feb. 27. Voters can cast their ballot at the following locations:

  • Firemans Pump House

         201 North 1st Street

  • Lark Community Center

          2601 Lark Ave

  • Palm View Community Center

          3401 Jordan Ave
